Private PDF tools · No document upload

Free PDF tools that work in your browser

Merge, split, compress, convert, protect, and reorganize PDFs without sending the document to a processing server.

Choose a tool. Keep control of the file.

What “private browser processing” means

PDF bytes stay local

The selected document is read from your device and processed in browser memory instead of being uploaded for conversion.

Purpose-built engines

PDF.js handles PDF reading and rendering, while browser-side processing and a dedicated WebAssembly engine perform document operations and compression.

Clear about trade-offs

Each tool explains what it preserves, what it rewrites, and when signatures or interactive features may change.

Your document takes the short route

KissPDF loads the application code from the website, then performs the document operation on your device. Analytics requests may still occur, but the PDF file bytes are not sent to a document-processing API.

  1. 01

    Select

Your browser receives access only to the file you choose.

  2. 02

    Process

A browser PDF engine reads, renders, reorganizes, encrypts, or compresses the document locally.

  3. 03

    Download

The result is created in browser memory and saved as a new file. Your original remains unchanged.

Claims should be verifiable

We document the libraries behind each operation, test downloaded files in real browsers, and publish known limitations instead of promising that every PDF feature will always survive a rewrite.

14focused PDF workflows

Each page documents its actual inputs, outputs, and limitations.

Localdocument processing

File bytes stay on the device for the tools available on this site.

Testeddownloaded outputs

Automated tests reopen PDFs and verify page counts, dimensions, ordering, protection, and compression.

Before you process a PDF

Are PDF files uploaded?

No document-processing upload is used. The selected PDF bytes are handled by code running in your browser.

Are the original files changed?

No. KissPDF creates a new download. Your source file remains where it was.

Will every PDF feature be preserved?

Not always. Signatures, forms, bookmarks, scripts, attachments, and unusual structures can change when a new PDF is written.

What limits the file size?

Browser memory, page complexity, device performance, and the selected operation determine what can be processed reliably.
