JPG and JPEG are two filename extensions for the same image format, so PDF to JPG and PDF to JPEG describe the same conversion. This tool produces files with the .jpg extension, and software that accepts JPEG images can open them without another conversion.
Page conversion renders everything visible on each PDF page. Embedded-image conversion ignores surrounding page text and layout, then re-encodes compatible raster image objects stored in the PDF as JPG files.
