Select one PDF, choose a target size in MB or KB, and split it into the largest possible consecutive page ranges that fit. KissPDF measures each generated PDF instead of estimating from the average page size, then lets you download the results directly.
PDF pages do not have independent fixed byte sizes. Fonts, images, color profiles, and other resources may be shared across pages, so dividing the original file size by its page count is unreliable. KissPDF generates candidate ranges, measures their serialized output, and keeps the largest consecutive range that fits the selected target.
The converter aims to keep every generated PDF at or below the selected size. A single page can already exceed that target because of a large scan or embedded image. That page is saved by itself and reported as oversized rather than being removed or silently recompressed.
Use Split PDF by File Size when the destination imposes a maximum number of MB or KB. Use the regular Split PDF tool when you already know the chapters, page numbers, or ranges that should become separate documents.
