How do I convert code to PDF?

Which language is selected by default?

Python is selected when the page first opens. You can choose another language without replacing code already in the editor. Opening a supported file can also select the language from its extension.

Does the PDF preserve code formatting?

Yes. The converter keeps the supplied indentation, comments, blank lines, capitalization, and line order. Use the preview to check how very long lines wrap or fit on the selected page size.

Can I convert a VS Code file or project to PDF?

You can open an individual plain-text source file saved from VS Code and convert it to PDF. The converter does not import an entire project or folder at once; combine the required excerpts in the editor or convert files separately and merge the PDFs afterward.

Does KissPDF run or compile my code?

No. The converter formats source text only. It does not execute programs, install dependencies, validate behavior, display runtime output, or connect to external services used by the code.

Can I combine several source files into one PDF?

The editor converts one source document at a time. Combine the required excerpts into the editor before downloading, or create separate PDFs and merge them afterward with the Merge PDF tool.

Can I remove line numbers and the title?

Yes. The title, line numbers, and page numbers are separate settings. You can also choose the code size, theme, margins, and A4 or Letter paper.

Is my source code uploaded to a server?

Files you open, text in the editor, the page preview, and the generated PDF are processed in your browser. Your source is not sent to a document-conversion service, although normal website and CDN requests can still occur.
