Bates numbering, also called Bates stamping, adds a unique sequential identifier to every page in a document set. Legal, audit, compliance and records teams use Bates numbers to identify and reference a specific page even when the set contains multiple PDF files.
Files are numbered in the order displayed. If the first document has three pages and starts at 000001, the second document begins at 000004. Drag the PDF cards before processing to control the sequence.
